Have a Stuffed Animal Storytime Adventure!

Bring your child’s furry friends to life while encouraging a love of reading.

This activity is perfect for a bookstore, a library or for a young children’s group. Children love to imagine their favorite stuffed animal or character come to life. Here are two options you can explore:

-Coordinate having a pajama storytime where kids bring their buddy along for this special storytime at the chosen venue. As a take-away activity, kids can be encouraged to start reading to their furry friends on a daily basis.

-You can add to the excitement and make it a slumber party for the stuffed animals! Have kids drop off their animal (or doll, action figure etc.) to the chosen venue the day before the story event. The animals and kids get matching name tags and then the animals get tucked in for the night. Once the kids leave, have staff take pictures of the animals getting into mischief. The next morning the kids are reunited with their buddies, get to see and hear about the Shenanigans and it concludes with a storytime.
